Do You Have Spare Land in Australia or New Zealand?

Tiny Away is expanding and we are looking for partners who wish to earn extra rental income from their land.

Check out how we partner with our land hosts like dairy goat farmers Sarah and Daniel Ajzner, who have 2 tiny homes on their 20ha property in Macedon Ranges, Victoria and are able to earn between $700 and $1500 a month per house:

“When operating a farm our size you need another income stream,” Sarah said.

“We have the goats, we have the cheese and things of interest for people coming up from Melbourne.”

There were no major start-up costs for Sarah and Daniel.

Tiny Away supplied the homes, furniture and linen, and takes care of administration, marketing, bookings and communication with guests.

Revenue is shared between the parties.

Most of our guests are always looking for something extra in their accommodation, which allows them to leave with fond memories and stories that they will want to share on social media.

Owners who own land away from the hustle and bustle of the city

Whether it's physical isolation or a feeling of isolation, some of our guests are willing to stay in places where they could reconnect with nature and feel like they're the only ones in the world.

Basic Requirements

  • We can only partner land owners located in regional areas, and not those in busy cities or major urban towns.

  • Land owners must provide both power and water, to be connected to the tiny house.

How Does It Work?

Step 1: Assessment

First, we will get on a call to ask you a few questions, and assess the information you provide us. If your land fits our requirements, we will sign an agreement to begin our partnership.

Step 2: Building & Deploying

Every Tiny House is assembled to order at either of our factories in Australia or New Zealand, and comes fully furnished with furniture, electrical appliances, general household items, and consumables.

Once assembled, it will be towed to your plot of land. Each of our Tiny Houses has the following specifications:

Step 3: Marketing

Once your Tiny House is ready for hosting, our team of experts will handle all the marketing to secure your guests, like listing it on platforms such as our very own tinyaway.com, Agoda, Booking.com and Airbnb (we're also an Airbnb Superhost!)

We will also manage all the bookings and customer service so you can focus on only one thing - giving your guests the best experience.

Step 4: Hosting & Maintenance

Hosting a Tiny House is no different than being an Airbnb host.

This includes welcoming guests and basic upkeep of the tiny house after they leave, like emptying the composting bin and washing the linens.

Step 5: Earning

Each of these Tiny Houses is rented out at $165 to $200 a night, depending on location. We share a percentage of the rental revenue with our land host partners, plus you get an additional $50 cleaning fee for every booking.

At 50% occupancy, our land hosts can earn $1,000+ every month. Some of our top partners even earn up to $25,000 per year from our Tiny Houses!

Why Host A Tiny House?

No Capital Required

You do not need to put in any upfront capital to start this. To reinforce a sense of escapism, we will provide you with a fully furnished tiny house, with each one blending seamlessly into its natural surroundings and offering a local connection to the guest.

Make New Friends

If you like meeting new friends from all over the world, this is perfect for you. As our tiny house hosts, you will be our key point of contact with guests and help ensure that they have an awesome stay.

Be Your Best Host

You’ve got the property and we’ve got the tools to help you host with confidence. We handle all the marketing, bookings, and customer service. Together we curate a memorable experience at all stages of the guest journey.

Eco-Friendly

Each Tiny House is built with sustainability in mind, using only eco-friendly materials and featuring solar panels, a composting toilet & a rainwater collection system. They are also built on wheels and will do no damage to your land.

About Tiny Away

Tiny houses are part of an international trend of simplifying lives by reducing the size, and therefore the resource consumption, of homes without sacrificing quality of life.

We place beautifully designed compact homes on wheels in spectacular rural settings – amplifying the benefits of the “tiny house” movement by pairing the advantages of a thoughtfully efficient abode with the recharging potential of an intimate connection with Mother Nature.

Tiny Away stems from a desire to offer the city dweller a chance to experience the perfect escape from a hectic, digitally-laden lifestyle; and enable anyone to have a part in this new way of living.
